Wednesday I had a conductor who sounded like a robot. I got on the train from Glenmont and she said, "Welcome aboard to the red line to... Sha-dey Grove " During the ride she annouced something about the emergency exits. I couldn't hear what the heck she was saying because of the trip and the train making so much noise going from one station to the next being under ground. When I heard 'emergency' I got scared, but then I could hear it after she let people off at Wheaton. But still, every time she said "Shady Grove" it sounded really peppy or like a robot, does anyone know who I am talking about?
There is a conductor that I usually hear on the weekends riding along the yellow line. He sounds like the "moviefoine" guy. He says : "This is the yellow line train to Mount Vernon Squ-areeeeeee!" I laugh whenever I get on the train and hear him over the speakers.
I really enjoy riding with the motermen that have a sense of humor. If it is possible (getting off at end of line etc) I always make a point of thanking them.
