My commute home on January 10 was interesting. I boarded the Orange line train in Rosslyn around 4:30pm or so, getting on car #1035.
It took a few minutes and stops for me to notice how quiet it was on the ride - then I realized the ventilation/air conditioning system was not running - it was getting a little stuffy. I finally got a seat by the time we reached the West Falls Church station, and at that time the ventilation system began working.
We stayed at the West FC station for an extra 1.5 minutes (time mentioned by the train operator), and then at Dunn Loring for an extra 2 minutes, due to what the operator said was the result of a situation at East Market.
Kudos to the operator for being very informative as to what our train was doing. (I have no idea what was going on/or had gone on at East Market.)
As I said, it was an interesting ride home.
